INTA Annual Meeting 2025 in San Diego

Managing Attorney of Ortynska Law PLLC, Mariya Ortynska, has participated in the Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA). Once again, the Annual Meeting has gathered more than 10,000 dedicated intellectual property professionals, business owners, government representatives, judges, and NGOs in sunny San Diego in California.

Five days of the conference were full of insightful events and valuable meetings, cultivating well-established relationships with fellow professionals as well as developing new partnerships with industry peers from all around the world.

This year, trademark attorney Mariya Ortynska took part in the Table Topics on such themes as “Extraterritoriality of Trademark Laws” and “Personality Rights and issues arising in the context of AI Tools” to enhance proficiency and broaden the knowledge for building effective strategies for the clients of Ortynska Law PLLC. Table Topics, held by INTA every year, are a litmus test for current topics that demand evaluation and discussion of the professional community.

As a member of the Enforcement Committee and its Oppositions and Cancellations Subcommittee, Mariya Ortynska took part in its meetings as well, dedicating time and focus to the topical issues in the committee’s scope. She also had the opportunity to attend a lecture delivered by one of the judges for the Committee on the specifics of trademark enforcement. All committee members had the opportunity to pose questions and discuss current trademark enforcement issues in various jurisdictions.

Another highlight of the Annual Meeting was the recording of the INTA podcast episode featuring Mariya Ortynska as a guest. In this engaging conversation, Mariya shared her personal and professional journey, as well as the place IP takes in it. In addition, Mariya also covered opportunities and challenges that arise when building a career in the U.S. This podcast episode will be available to listeners in the near future on the INTA website. 

Attending INTA’s Annual Meetings and similar conferences is an important part of the work of trademark attorney Mariya Ortynska.
