Managing Attorney Mariya Ortynska has become a part of the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA) International Trade Committee. This committee is dedicated to intellectual property issues in the scope of trade between the EU and other states.

Appointed committee members are serving a two-year term, focusing on various themed projects and participating in the development of documents and policies.

Since its foundation in 1980, ECTA has become an expert body that provides consulting for EU and national decision-makers, as well as European courts and international intellectual property organizations. The Association covers the protection and use of trademarks, designs, domain names, and related rights, such as copyright, geographical indications, and unfair competition. Nowadays, ECTA has over 1500 members from EU countries and associate members from all continents as well.

Mariya Ortynska joined the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA) in 2022, in particular the ECTA Copyright Committee. Her experience in international organizations and communities includes not only ECTA but also the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (AIPPI).

Mariya is constantly working to improve her experience and knowledge, and is involved in various organizations and activities dedicated to shaping the global IP landscape and its future.
